WRG is a non-profit organization, founded in December 2015 by Dr. Reshma Khan, a fellowship-trained rheumatologist, in an effort to bring women rheumatologists together to collaborate and support each other while sharing their medical expertise.
It started with a few friends, all-women rheumatologists, trying to learn how to navigate the professional world while still balancing personal lives. However, in the last seven years, it has become a community of women supporting and lifting each other daily to help care for themselves and their patients. WRG also supports women's equity and diversity in rheumatology. We are currently 1000 members strong from over 24 countries. We are consistently growing, thanks to the helping members of this amazing community! Our amazing team of women rheumatologists is committed to helping each other. We promote education and provide a supportive environment to empower our members. Our vision is a future where women rheumatologists can have equity in the workplace with successful careers while successfully balancing their personal lives.
